Wound Care Registered Nurse

Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Respiratory Director and Hyperbaric/Wound Care Supervisor, the Hyperbaric and Wound Care Professional Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for meeting the established Standards of Nursing Practice in the management of all assigned patients. Acts within the guidelines of federal and state laws, DNV, Standards of Professional and Ethical practice, Nurse Practice Act. Assists physicians with the implementation of wound treatment plans. Directs and guides patient teaching activities. Renders care to patients within an outpatient setting. Administers medication and notes reactions. Assists in maintaining highly specialized therapy with complicated equipment, assesses the patient's condition, and monitors medication and treatment. Develops and revises plan of care to meet changing wound care and skin care needs of the patient. Reports frequently to the Clinic Supervisor or in his/her absence, the Department Director or Clinic Medical Director. Age of population served: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric.Other duties as assigned.


  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Utah.
  • Current BLS issued by American Red Cross or the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of wound care techniques and the ability to perform procedures for all wound care types.
